In its first four years, Amazing had supplied a home to the literary concept of Science Fiction. Amazing Stories was the propeller which led to the design of the jet engine, and later the rocket boosters and the warp drives of the imagination. The Amazing Stories reader was liberated from his earthly constraints long before Apollo 11; yet he was challenged to aid the world in realizing the best of the prophecies contained in its pages.
